Australia plans to join a free trade pact that spans the Pacific Ocean and aims to curb bilateral agreements between countries. Simon Crean, Australia’s trade minister, told the Financial Times that Australia would join Brunei Darussalam, Chile, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States in the Trans Pacific Partnership TPP, a free trade agreement.
