Renault said on Wednesday that Carlos Ghosn, its chief executive, would add to his list of responsibilities by assuming the French carmaker s chairmanship next year.
The decision surprised and puzzled analysts, many of whom have argued that the Brazilian-born carmaking boss is already stretched too thinly between too many jobs.
