Financial News: London lower as earnings news stays bleak

London equities fell further on Tuesday, after a steeper-than-forecast fall in inflation raised fears about the prospect of deflation. The FTSE 100 was 1.7 per cent lower at 4,064.47, a loss of 68 points, after the previous session s 100-point tumble, which was caused by earnings fears in the banking sector.
